CONTRIBUTI - Perché la regolamentazione della finanza deve cambiare approccio / Financial regulation, the need of a new approach
The Great Crisis had three many causes: global imbalances, Fed monetary policy, excessive deregulation of finance. The debt overhang generated in this way in the Us has been compounded by the lack of an effective and rapid reregulation of finance in order to correct the profound errors introduced by the «light touch» that submitted commercial banks to rules based on the financial market. A serious new regulation, under the supervision of adequate leadership, remains the way to go for financial sustainability and global stability.

Giancarlo Durante, Luigi Prosperetti
In 2012, European banks have implemented sharp cost reductions strategies and introduced profound changes, influencing personnel policies and wages. Italian banks are facing a difficult challenge and are taking actions to pursue significant levels of profitability and giving a contribution to recovery, thus creating concrete employment and development opportunities.
FORUM - I bias nelle scelte di adesione ai fondi pensione negoziali italiani: scelta di base e avversione agli estremi / Current identifiable biases in Italian pension fund enrolment decisions
Previous researches have demonstrated that consumer decisions could be affected by some biases in the supplementary pension field. Decisionmaking is very often not guided by rationality, and in many cases, if forced to choose, people will decide not to decide, passively accepting the decisions made by others. Such behaviour deserves to be analyzed and studied in order to better understand its consequences, and determine whether the latter can be turned to the advantage of the decision-makers themselves. Using a database of 24 occupational pension funds representing 1.7 million employees, this paper examines the presence of default bias and extremeness aversion in Italian workers’ choices regarding the supplementary pension system, as a result of the new rules enacted in 2007.The results provide insights which are important for public policy as regards the possibility of taking account of these biases when formulating the regulation, benefiting employees.
STRATEGIE - Strategie creditizie efficienti, metriche di rischio e ottimizzazione di portafogli / Credit strategies, risk and planning process

CREDITO E IMPRESE - I danni economici e sociali di un sistema senza controlli: il caso dei mutui negli Usa / The value of protecting those who can’t protect themselves
A consequence of 2010 general crisis in the Us has been the scandal of foreclosure gate, a «crisis in the crisis», with profound social and economic consequences. In Italy, banks have the features to prevent such phenomena: more stringentrules and controls, greater attention to customer retention and to public interest.
FINANZA - La performance dei fondi immobiliari in Italia / Real estate funds’ performance in the Italian market
The market for Italian real estate funds has been characterized in recent years by fluctuations affecting both the number of new products and their performance. It is therefore important to establish criteria for measuring the funds’ performances, based on the income return and capital growth and on the analysis of the performance achieved by the single investor.
